The QUT Tactile Tools engagement brought together key stakeholders in the development of a new health precinct to consider what research, teaching and engagement opportunities the new development might afford. The workshop was delivered fully online using a combination of Zoom and MIRO. From a research perspective the engagement was an opportunity to investigate haptic and tactile media in the online space and how these approaches might foster empathy and interdisciplinary understanding amongst participants. Both the development and the delivery of the workshop were grounded in the values of mutuality to provide a tangible experience of working together towards a common goal for facilitators and participants.

Small groups of around 6 people worked collaboratively to map future scenarios and experiences in the precinct. Using the Tactile Tools online toolkit and other design materials teams built an aspirational vision for future practices and their associated spaces.
